OUR PROPOSAL
CONSERVATION COMMUNITY
To conserve valuable wildlife resources at Young Ranch, an extensive natural preserve is proposed for most of the ranch and a small, rural residential community is clustered in the northeastern area of the site. The Young Ranch community provides the economic engine to pay for conservation of the preserve in perpetuity.
Young Ranch will be the first conservation community in Santa Clara County and is part of a new generation of conservation strategies that balances conservation priorities with thoughtful development to achieve both economic and environmental sustainability. Young Ranch is currently seeking a conservation partner committed to managing this open space preserve.
The owner of Young Ranch, YCS Investments, Inc., is a privately held real estate investment company headquartered in San Francisco. Plans for the Young Ranch community are currently being studied and public workshops and site tours will be organized following the completion of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) later in 2016.
